Beware! If You Have Tax Arrears, DGT Can Block Public Service Access

Arunika Consulting Team

The government is increasingly serious about taking action against tax delinquents. The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT - Direktorat Jenderal Pajak) is now implementing Director General of Taxes Regulation No. PER-27/PJ/2025 which provides a harder โ€œbiteโ€ for non-compliant Taxpayers.

Sanctions are no longer just administrative fines or warning letters, but blocking access to Certain Public Services.

Who Can Be Blocked?

This blocking sanction targets Taxpayers (Entities and Individuals) who have minimum tax debt of Rp100,000,000 (one hundred million rupiah) and have not paid it off until the active collection time limit.

Types of Public Services Blocked

If you are on the delinquent list, you risk losing access to the following vital services:

  1. SABH (Legal Entity Administration System): You cannot make company deed changes, share trading, or other corporate actions at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
  2. Customs Services: For importers/exporters, your NIB (Business Identification Number) may be frozen for customs access, crippling export-import activities.
  3. Banking Services: In certain cases, account blocking (asset seizure) also becomes part of this collection series.
  4. Regional Government Services: Certain business permits in regions are also beginning to integrate with tax status data (KSWP - Certificate of Tax Compliance).

How to Avoid Blocking

The only way is to become a Compliant Taxpayer.

  1. Check Tax Status: Regularly check your tax status on DGT Online or Coretax.
  2. Utilize Installments: If cashflow is tight, submit a formal request for tax debt installment to KPP.
  3. Respond to Warrant Letter: Donโ€™t ignore the Warrant Letter. Immediately communicate with the State Tax Bailiff (JSPN - Juru Sita Pajak Negara).
