Technology Challenges

Manual Recording Not Managed

Farmers generally record seed, fertilizer, and harvest use in handwritten books. This data is easily lost, difficult to analyze, and does not support credit applications or subsidy claims.

No Production Dashboard

Farmer groups and agricultural cooperatives do not have real-time visibility on planted area, harvest progress, HPP per hectare, and per-farmer productivity. Decision-making becomes reactive, not proactive.

Integration with Bulog & Distributors

Sales to Bulog are still manual (physical SBPG, fax). Digital integration with Bulog systems or distribution platforms can accelerate payment and reduce fraud.

IoT & Smart Farming for Large-Scale Farmers

Large-scale farmers (PT/CV) want to use IoT for land monitoring (moisture sensors, drones for mapping), but existing solutions are often too expensive or unsuitable for Indonesian conditions.

Our Technology Solutions

1

Agricultural Bookkeeping Mobile App

Setup simple mobile app (Android/iOS) for individual farmers or farmer groups: expense input, harvest results, fertilizer use, cloud sync, and automatic monthly/seasonal reports.

  • Data not lost
  • Automatic reports
  • Credit application basis
2

Production Dashboard for Poktan/Cooperatives

Implementation of web-based dashboard showing planted area, harvest progress, HPP, and per-farmer productivity. Aggregated data from member farmer mobile apps.

  • Real-time visibility
  • Data-driven decision making
  • Program audit compliance
3

IoT & Smart Farming Integration

Setup IoT sensors for monitoring soil moisture, water level, and pest prediction. Integration with drones for land mapping and precision fertilizer application.

  • Water and fertilizer efficiency
  • Earlier pest prediction
  • 10-20% harvest yield increase
4

ERP Platform for Agricultural Companies

Implementation of agriculture-specific ERP for PT/CV with thousands of hectares: bookkeeping, payroll, inventory, sales modules, and integration with Bulog and banks for automatic payment.

  • Scalability
  • Full compliance
  • End-to-end integration

How We Work

1

Scale & Needs Assessment

Analysis of business scale, number of farmers (if farmer group/cooperative), internet infrastructure, and types of decisions to be supported (credit application, program audit, Bulog sales).

2

System Selection & Setup

Selecting appropriate technology solutions: simple mobile app, web dashboard, IoT, or full ERP. Including setup, integration, and initial configuration.

3

Training & Onboarding

Training for farmers, farmer group administrators, or company staff. Including digital literacy materials for farmers unfamiliar with smartphones.

4

Accompaniment & Optimization

3-6 month accompaniment to ensure adoption, troubleshooting, and system optimization based on user feedback.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do small (individual) farmers need a digital system?

For small farmers, the most suitable digital system is a simple mobile app for bookkeeping (input expenses, results, subsidies). Setup costs are low (tens of thousands of rupiah/month), and the benefits are significant: data is not lost, KUR applications are smoother, and subsidy reconciliation is easier. Arunika helps select appropriate apps and train farmers.

How much does implementing a digital system for rice cultivation cost?

Costs vary by scale: Simple mobile app for farmer groups starts from IDR 5-10 Million for setup + low monthly subscription. Web dashboard + integration starts from IDR 30-80 Million. Full ERP for companies with 100+ hectares starts from IDR 200 Million. IoT (sensors + drones) depends on land area, starting from IDR 50-150 Million for 50 hectares.

How is integration with Bulog systems done?

Bulog currently still uses semi-manual systems for SBPG (Paddy Delivery Receipt). We help set up digital workflow: input harvest data in farmer system, generate digital SBPG documents, and reconcile Bulog payments. For full integration with Bulog systems, this is still under development.

Is farmer data safe on digital platforms?

Systems we implement follow UU PDP (Personal Data Protection) and ISO 27001 standards. Farmer data is encrypted, access is restricted, and is not shared with third parties without consent. We audit security before deployment.

Will system migration disrupt daily operations?

We usually use a parallel-run approach so the old and new systems operate together during transition, reducing downtime and data risk.

Can accounting software connect to POS and bank data automatically?

Yes. We design API and import workflows for POS, marketplaces, and bank statements to reduce manual entry and reconciliation errors.

Which software is best for my industry?

The right choice depends on transaction volume and complexity. We assess your workflow before recommending cloud accounting, POS, ERP, or dashboard tools.
